About the Owner: I love my dogs, Keith loves his dogs, Michal Farys in Argentina loves his dogs.  Hopefully when Woody reaches his championship, we will be taking him to Michal Farys in Argentina.  I have to add that Woody is off to a good start with four points to his credit as of June 13, 2011.

Cedar Ridge Pugs formerly Hai Jacs Pugs - I began with Pugs way back when, what I consider my other life.  It was at that time that we (some friends of mine), began the Northern California Pug Club, and in fact had our first fun match at Foothill High School in Pleasanton, CA.  This was short lived as I went through a divorce after 27 years of marriage and raising four children.  I dropped out and never knew what happened after that until much later on.  I’m happy to say that someone picked up the gavel and ran with it.  The club of today is nothing that I had a part in.  It has become a wonderful club and I thank all that took over from that time.  I believe it was in 1985 when I left without a goodbye.  If you can imagine what I was going through at the time -- my son in the Navy was out in the Mediterranean, one daughter in Israel studying at the University of Jerusalem -- just a hideous time for me as there was a lot of conflict over there at that time.

When I lost my Pugs, my friend sent me two Samoyed littermate girls.  Both are gone now.  I moved back to Gardnerville, NV after being away for 6 years, became secretary to the Samoyed Club where Keith and I met and got married.  He helped me with getting back to the Pug breed at this time.  Alicia and Riney Kahler were very nice at having me back in the arena.  Even Barry welcomed me back with open arms -- I knew Barry before he had a Pug, if you can believe it.  Ask him.

Anyway, that gives a small insight as to when and where it all began for me in this breed.  I’ve been fortunate in having the beautiful dogs that I’ve had and bred.  Unfortunately, time takes away what could and perhaps would have been as I am finding it more difficult to continue.  Believe me when I say that I will do this as long as I am able.
